Popular Post djrey Posted August 15, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 15, 2024 There was a period where I was really enjoying Warped cigars. I feel like there were among the first of the new world brands to not go heavy handed on pepper. Perfectly constructed and a nice sweet smell to this. Cigar opens light - medium body with wispy notes of chocolate and spice. Cigar continues along and I am stuck wondering where is the flavor. It keeps chugging along at light to medium body but the flavors are muted and dull. Some pepper dominates now but that is about it. Another new world cigar added to the list of didn't age well. These were once solid cigars but now borderline cardboard. Very little going on here and I cant help but wish I ditched it and smoked something else. 65 pts. 7
GVan Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Sorry for the bad cigar! I'm still a Warped fan but heavily dependent on the specific cigar and age. My Warped La Hacienda Superiores are now 15 months old and smoking beautifully. My Son and Son-in-Law keep raiding the box in the humidor (luckily, I bought a back-up box). The Cloud Hopper 53's are 33 months old and just now hitting their prime with a slight sweetness emerging. The Guardian of the Farm - Apollo's are still not ready to smoke at 10 months. I'm not sure how long Kyle's cigars will go? I don't generally think of these as long-term aging cigars. But, I've found 1 to 3 years of age helps although, even he occasionally rolls a bad cigar. 1
