Oh my goodness, what magic time can do to tobacco. This is the last of a 10 pack trade that I did back in 2020. And of course, being the last one, it’s the best. The first one I tried had muted tones of some cocoa and just toasted tobacco.

This stick however, was what I’ve read VR to be.

Just taking a whiff of the cigar prior to lighting smacks of sweet floral tobacco.

In the opening it’s smooth, with a dusting of cocoa, leather and a touch of sweetness. As it progressed, the cocoa comes forward with cream and the leather hanging around in the back. Very much a solid medium with plumes of smoke. The ending is a bit more leather, joined with that cocoa and pushing into medium full territory. It’s a bittersweet ending that there are no more of these in my humidor.
