Quai D'Orsay Coronas Claro UBL APR 22 (FFSJun24)

I'm on vacation down at the beach so I chose this Coronas Claro for an early morning review. I'm getting notes of sweet hay and cedar on the foot and wrapper.

1/3 - notes of cedar, honey and cream. The stick has good construction and the burn is fairly good considering the wind is blowing at a steady 10-15mph. The beach police on quads stopped nearby. I think they thought I may have been smoking weed and wanted to get a closer look. I was in the "designated smoking area" so after 5-10 min they pulled off without saying a word.

2/3 - the same sweet woody notes from the first third continue into the second but a bit of baking spice begins to mix in. A touch up is needed due to the wind. Draw has been perfect the whole time, just a slight bit of resistance.

3/3 - More touch ups needed due to the wind. The final third is earthy with a few floral notes mixed in. It isn't fair to knock too many points off as the smoking conditions were not ideal. The box is from April of 22 and came from our host. I think they will continue to improve over time but are smoking really good already.

How does it compare to a No.50?

I'd say it is similar to the QD50 but the flavors are more concentrated. I don't remember getting any earthy notes toward the end of a QD50 though.
