Popular Post Deeg
"Reviews From a Japanese Laundry Room" My laundry room is my designated cigar spot. Hardly atmospheric unless you're a fan of cheap washing machines and pipes, but it has a good exhaust fan and it's cut off from the rest of the house. I have two left from a 2017 box of SD 4s, so I thought I'd usher in the 4-day weekend with one of those. This box has been a mixed bag on the whole, and unfortunately this one developed a massive split in the wrapper, as you can see. Not salvageable, which is unfortunate as what was there was very nice. These have mellowed past the Capsicum annuum phase and are now delivering a lot of dark chocolate, buttered toast, and a nice salty tang (which isn't something I get from Partagas that often). Almost seven years and this was a very polished and mellow experience - but sadly, it didn't last long. Given the current state of the market I can't imagine myself buying Habanos any time in the foreseeable future - not mid-tier sticks like these by the box, anyway - so it's a bummer when one doesn't deliver the full experience. Once they're gone, they're gone. And while I'm enjoying the nudies and other occasional NCs I partake in, this particular experience is one I'll certainly miss. I won't miss the suspense over whether any given cigar is going to be smokable, however.
