Popular Post Pmo13
Have had these sitting for a little over a month now after trying the first one ROTT, so figured I’d heed EPs advice and give me another go. The first one I smoked was phenomenal if memory serves, so I was expecting great things when I lit this up. It absolutely delivered. First off I need to praise Hamlet and the team, construction and combustion could not have been more perfect. Bravo! The flavors picked right up where the physical aspects left off. Looking back to my first RT a few weeks back, the bones of the flavor profile were definitely already shining through. This stick was cocoa, some dark coffee and cream through to its core. Paired with a Dr Pepper which worked perfectly with that underlying chocolate note, turning it a bit towards a tootsie roll. Having spent so little time recently dipping into my NC collection, I sometimes forget what it’s like to not worry about a stick while smoking it. Touch ups, being extra careful so I don’t heat the cherry too hot and crack the wrapper are habits that died hard today lol. I’ll go to my grave holding many CCs above NCs, but even I have to admit to them being frustrating at times. These Robusto Trinitys however, are an absolute pleasure to light up. Flavors scratch a very specific itch that I don’t come across often either with CCs or NCs and they do it impeccably. I try not to grade too highly sometimes, as I feel that you’ll always come across something thats “better”, but in these puppies case, I genuinely think the vaunted “A”rating is warranted. Cannot wait to see how these age and change going forward.
raggie
I fully agree with your points. I’ve found myself drifting away from my NC boxes, but these Trinitys are always a treat when i reach for them. I, too, am excited to see how rich the flavors will get with more age. Good review!
