Interesting to see that they're putting some of these back into their original boxes, along with the new bands. They're  not all just for the humidors. But...this definitely shows that they've swept the Island for old Fundies and pulled them before anyone could buy them for their list price, regardless of vintage. That was part of the fun of cigar shopping in Havana. You can find old stock but pay current prices. Now they're ensuring a "pay to play" stance. For years, maybe decades they ignored factoring vintage into their pricing.

I'd be a little worried walking downtown Havana with that watch on.

Cuba has many problems, however I don’t think violent violent crime is a big issue. I could be wrong though.

Yay, more exclusive blends for thousands of dollars while you can't keep up with supply of standard production

That you call clever marketing - it’s not that they can’t, they don’t want to. That is, tobacco being diverted more towards “specials” instead of standard production. They’ve been doing that for years, and it seems to ever gain momentum. And then here - how to get rid of overproduction that didn’t sell at time of production? We saw that before and, can’t help, but to me it looks a lot like the old “revisado” campaigns. But this time they’ve learnt their lesson and make it look special and “exclusive”. Slap two additional shiny bands onto (what was once) a 15-dollar cigar, pack in a S.T. Dupont humi, and voila x-fold the original price. It’s not that HSA isn’t following what’s going on in the secondary (tertiary) market....
