Cohiba Siglo 1 Perlas LAU DIC ‘16 (FreeMar24)

Recommended Posts

I took advantage of a 65 degree March Montana evening with the family to enjoy this 2016 Siglo 1. Slight grassy taste, very consistent and definitely didn’t disappoint…environment has so much to do with my enjoyment of cigars, and this was a perfect fit for the day.

  • Draw: 10/10
  • Each puff was perfect.

Burn: 9/10

  • The burn was even, I touched it up once initially and then never went out or had an issue.

Ash: 8/10

  • Slightly grey, but held together well with nice layers.

Construction: 9/10

•The cigar felt good, soft but not too soft and was consistent the entire burn.

1st third: Started with a slight grassy flavor and toasted bread.

2nd third: More grassy flavor but mild and not overpowering, with honey and maybe some coffee coming in.

3rd third: No changes from previous parts, burn stayed even and aftertaste was subtle and smooth.

Duration: 6pm-6:35pm, 35 min.

Consensus: 9/10…Medium bodied and mild/medium strength. Great smoke, it goes fast but it was smooth and consistent, helped by the great age.
