Chinese Liquor Maker Laojiao, Cuba's Top Cigar Firm Habanos to Launch Co-Branded Products

(Yicai) March 4 -- Leading Chinese liquor maker Luzhou Laojiao and Habanos, Cuba’s biggest cigar producer, have joined forces on co-branded products, marketing and promotional strategies.

The pair will focus on promoting a tie-up between the strong aroma Baijiu Guojiao 1573 brand and Cohiba cigars, Sichuan province-based Laojiao announced on March 2.

Laojiao took its signature products to this year's International Habano Cigar Festival in Havana. More than 2,900 cigar makers, resellers, experts in cigar tasting, and fans from 108 countries and regions took part in the event, held from Feb. 26 to March 1.

Baijiu is made from sorghum and other grains such as wheat, barley, or rice and is known for its high alcohol content, which can range from 40 percent to 65 percent alcohol by volume or even higher. It is most often consumed at social gatherings, banquets, and celebrations.

At least there won't be any counterfeits.

If you are talking about alcohol… it will be out of control too.

瀘州老窖!
There are many counterfeits baijiu in China, considering the price hike was much crazier than Cigarmageddon from this century.

Top end Baijiu is $6000 USD a bottle? I can understand the counterfeit....as well as the Cohiba attraction.
