Popular Post eaglebear29 Posted February 20, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 20, 2024 La Aroma de Cuba Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan Binder & Filler Bought this as a single to try out, so no idea on the date. Robusto 5.25 x 54 Very nice golden wrapper. Smells like sweet Nicaraguan tobacco not as earthy as some can be. Sweet raisins and sweet tobacco on the cold draw. Punch cut all my cigars first, then v cut, or crown cut if I need more on the draw. This one is great with the punch. Kept at 62% then dry boxed for 4 weeks I’m very surprised how the wrapper maintained its shine and spongy feel, the photos don't do it justice, its more of a golden wrapper First 3rd Roasted walnut with a very faint hint of spice on the back of the tongue. After 7 puffs a creaminess is coming through.great thick creamy smoke with a hint of that spice ever so faint still there. Still getting roasted creamy walnuts as the main tone on the palate. Second 3rd The spice comes and goes being secondary to the creamy sweet roasted walnuts. More of a sweetness has now built on the other flavors. Final 3rd Any faint spice is gone and it’s now just sweet creamed roasted walnuts, sweet cream now taking over being the main tone on the palate. The walnuts have turned to sweet roasted creamy peanuts. A little spice has started now adding to the creamy peanut now, that it’s in the nub/toothpick stage. Final thoughts I love the sweet earthy Nicaraguan creaminess when a blend really comes together nicely. I’d rate this as a great smoke all in all. The burn would always correct itself except at the toothpick stage, which I have no issue with since that’s past when many might throw a stogie anyways. 7
