Andyman Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 » Bolivian Organic followed by Costa Rica La Minita Tarrazu I have never had Bolivian. What is ist most comparable too.. Please someone give me a review..
idesign Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I enjoy all kinds of coffee, it's hard to pull a favorite. I do have a new favorite place to buy fresh roast.... http://www.stumptowncoffee.com/ It's a small roastery doing big things here in Portland.
idesign Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 SuperT, those are some great pictures by the way......
stogies&hoagies Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 » SuperT, there's those damn espresso shots again. Next time up my way, you have to give me a lesson. As far as my go to coffee, hmmmmm, I like a lot of different coffees, African and island coffees are what I have most of in stock. I usually roast what I have the most of, right now that would be Torquino, Caracolillo, Colombia South and a Brazillion COE '05.
stogies&hoagies Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 » » As far as a go to cigar with coffee, I guess the reply is similar to my go to coffee. It's sort of whatever I feel like at the time. I very rarely get to enjoy a cigar with my coffee so I don't really have a match up I pair with all the time. I just root around until something catches my eye.
Wiley Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Should we start another thread to see what machines people are putting their shots thru? I'm looking for free advice on a new one...

I'm looking for free advice on a new one... I agree as that will be my next purchase and hobby, espresso. Actually my next purchase will be something larger than the FR8. HMMMM. was this a thread jack? Sorry Nova didn't mean to.

SeanGAR Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Local shop, Mill Mountain roasts their own beans. I especially like their Costa Rican.
raney Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 » Bolivian Organic followed by Costa Rica La Minita Tarrazu Funny - 5 lbs of each of these was my last order. Roasted up a couple batches of the Bolivian on Friday night (one to City, one to FC) and mixed a 50/50 blend. Brewed my first pot this morning - the comments on this one are right on. Really rich, nice plum understones. This is a great bean.
cobra Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I also love a good cup of Joe to compliment my smoking, but you guy's are madmen. I was satisfied with grinding up some dark roast Starbucks but now you maniacs got me obsessed with a new consumption. I never heard of roasting your own beans.....thats wild. I just placed an order for a couple of pounds of beans from"Killer Beans".
Cartierusm Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Is that picture something out of Aliens? Cool looking
