Appearance

The LGC #4 has a slightly mottled colorado claro wrapper with a little bit of sheen to it.

Cold Draw

I get a hint of sweet tobacco flavor at first. Then I start to detect that the sweet note is much like a slight raisiny note.

First Light & First Half

Really good draw with slight resistance. The first flavors are of a hint of deep fruit pecten and some nuttiness.

The cigars continues with a perfect burn and really big amounts of smooth complex smoke. The complexity of flavors is hard for me to describe, but there is an underlining hint of sweetness to it that is hard to pinpoint, as to what it reminds me of. 

Second Half

The burn is still excellent and big amounts of smoke are coming off this skinny stick.  I start to retro-hale to try to pick up on some of the subtle flavors.  Interestingly, there is mentholiness character to the smoke that is pleasing, along with a fruit and nutty underlying sweetness.  In the last third, my retro-hale is picking up subtle fruit notes that transition into more of a bubble gum/juicy fruit gum sweetness, along with the menthol character.  I’m impressed with how complex this little cigar is.

Overall:

Simply a wonderful cigar to smoke.  The evolving complexity of flavors and smoothness of this cigar kept my full interest the entire time.

Nice review, and great colors in the background. They make the band and the wrapper "pop".

I'll be trying my first one of these very soon but from a much younger box (2020).  I've been advised that this CC is one that is often too disagreeable to appreciate with less than approx. 10 years of age.  Arg.

Hope to see these on 24:24 sometime in the near future. I think it's been a while since they were last up...Curious to see what newer production is like.
