This was technically the 2021 Cuban Regional edition. Named after Esubio Leal, who was responsible for the restoration of large portions of Old Havana. He passed away Mid 2020. I dont love the size, but I have loved both of the last 2 Cuban Regionals, so I'll try to get my hands on a box or two during my next trip.

Starting December 15, the new Leal cigar, from the Diplomáticos brand, will be on sale exclusively in Cuba, as was announced during its presentation in the capital before representatives of hotel and non-hotel chains and the companies Cuba Ron SA and Habanos SA 

Yunier Machado Yera, director of the Internal Market of that entity of the Tabacuba group, explained to the Cuban News Agency that since 2021 its commercialization was pending but the impact of COVID-19 prevented it, so without a doubt now during the celebration At the end of the year many cigar lovers will be able to taste it.

This is a regional edition of the Leal vitola, then selected for exclusive sale in the country from a special and unique production of 10,000 numbered boxes, all with its Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) seal, and containing cigars made entirely by hand with long filler and leaves from the Vuelta Abajo area, in Pinar del Río, the specialist said.

Machado pointed out that those interested will be able to purchase them at Casas del Habano, specialized stores and points of sale starting December 15, and recommended Guantanamera rum as an accompaniment, a very well-accepted pairing at the presentation of the product on Friday.
