Popular Post djrey Posted November 20, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 20, 2023 The fall weather has been quite nice on the US East coast these past few weekends. This cigar seems like the perfect fit for a crisp fall day. This will be the first from a box I bought a few years ago. They have been sleeping in the foil. This example feels a touch tight, and I work the draw open a bit with the perfect draw tool. Have to be careful as I don't want to split the wrapper of this smaller gauge cigar. Otherwise, the cigar exhibits a beautiful dark rustic wrapper gleaming with oil. The draw is still tight upon lighting but we will do what we can. Initially the cigar is quite earthy with a touch of pepper. Very smooth though. Even with the tight draw the smoke is dense and thick. Only wish I could pull in more. As we progress keeping this lit is becoming a problem. Cannot tell if it is due to the tight roll or a seemingly thicker oily wrapper. Flavors are still great however and I am really enjoying my first example of this cigar. A touch of sweet cherry comes into the earthiness that is still the dominating flavor. Solid Medium body maybe touching on full. Final third and nothing has changed. Same flavors and still difficult to keep lit. The cigar was consistent throughout and I really enjoyed it overall. I'm really hoping my next burns better because I would imagine the flavors would ramp up even more. Even with the burn issues I am still at a solid 92-93 pts. It stands out as its own cigar in the CC portfolio and I really enjoy that aspect of it. 5 1
