Complete with "Kirkland" brand products and everything!

As the Havana Times article explains, the business isn't private, neither it, or its holding company are on the list of MSME's in Cuba. The company is based in Miami though. If it isn't private, that can only mean one thing, its owned/operated by a government or military official in some way. The story is honestly quite bizarre, its a Costco, but prices are sky high and its apparently crawling with guards. Its stayed pretty low key since it opened in December of last year, but apparently someone at CNN found out. Their story on the store triggered a flat out denial from Granma (aka the Cuban Government) which is also bizarre. They flat out deny that it even exists, then show a photo of it. Haha. I'm starting to plan a trip for March, if this whole charade hasn't collapsed by then, I will definitely be checking this place out.

Where have we seen this before ........country collapse, key infrastructure/licenses/assets go to regime members and close supporters.
