Unfortunately, I have lost some friends over the years due to their views, and honestly, I don't think I'd want them back in my life.

Fuzz, I was kind of amazed how the QAnon/conspiracy theories/weird cr@p has been taken up back home. I have a good friend that recently moved to the States and everything is an attempt at pushing just plain crazy ideas.

When did we all stop being friendly kind human beings?

I agree. One downside of my job is being locked behind a ballistic resistant door and nowhere to go but to be given a speech on Left/Right wing cockatoo theories.

I also think people need to get outside more. Away from phones and computers. Whether it is smoking a cigar, or art, or hiking. It doesn’t matter.

Real time in outside, and time with real people. I really enjoy FOH (especially the no US politics), but most of the internet has become a driver of many issues- mental health being a big one.

I don't know...  The happiest people I know got scared by where the world was headed, picked up their families, moved offgrid (or to small towns), simplified their lives once they realized they could work from anywhere.

Lucky Bast$%#?s, I am still here a couple of miles from George Floyd ground zero, handcuffed to the hamster wheel.  Oh well - someday.

Sounds like your friend had bigger issues.
