El Presidente Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 I am wondering if there is any interest for a FAT BASTID Competition Yes...I am a handsome rooster who needs to lose about 12 Kilo's (26.4554715 pound). I am sure there are other Fat Bastids out there who could do the same so how about a motivational competition? Log in your weight June 5 and log in with an update first week of each month. He who loses most weight by September 1 receives a box of Cohiba Robusto. Rules: 1. Weigh in must be morning weight. 2. I don't need to see nude photo's of you I will take your word BUT I will need to see an end photo of the winner + your end weight and the total amount lost. Let me know if there are any starters
gehrig24 Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 I am in, I too would like to lose about 20-25 pounds and this just be the motivation to do it.

Still got a few more to loose but not 25 more. It's really not that hard to do but does take some dedication when the will gets weak. I did mine by eating a bananna or small bowl of cereal for breakfast, cottage cheeze and fresh fruit for lunch and a light dinner...stay off the bad carbs (chips, bread, and sweets) ...on yeah, walk your A** off. I forgot to mention that I work at a rock quarry and there is not many places to go for lunch.:-D You can do it and look what the prize is....shi*.....can we start from about 6 months ago? ;-)
tmos Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 If you would have started this Jan. 1 I would be enjoying a box of CoRo's right now. I dropped 30 already and don't have more than 10 to go before the wife will be able to physically enforce her will upon me. Rob, I suggest you calculate percentage of body weight lost instead of net pounds as a 400 pounder will drop 25 quicker than a 200 pounder. I think 10% of your body weight is all you should try to take off without consulting with a physician and would be a more fair measure.
rumrogue Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 If I may offer a tip to the contestants. Put less in your mouth than what comes out your arse. Works every time. Trust me, I'm a Cardinal. ;-)
GoodTimes Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 Hi all, I've been reading all the posts on here and love reading the reviews and other info...bunch of easy going, good natured members here! Rob has got to be one of the most generous individuals I have ever seen...What other retailer gives away expensive cigars to help others become healthy? As for the contest...I'm another one who has just completed a 3 month program and lost 26 lbs. Although my goal is another 15, I've found the more you lose, the slower it comes off... add to that, I'm going on vacation next monday for two weeks, so I'm sure that won't help any! For those of you who need a good plan, I suggest getting the book, "Body for Life", by Bill Phillips. But...since I'm picking up a new Aristocrat cabinet humidor on the way home from vacation and have barely anything to put in it, count me in for the contest Rob...My current weight this morning was 220 lbs (thats what...100 Kilos, right). Maybe with a box of Coro's dangling in front of my face, I can pick up the training a notch and win this contest!
gehrig24 Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 El Presidente, Will you post a new thread on June 5 that we will post our weights? I am right in the 220-225 range also so this could be interesting for all of us.
FuzzyJoe Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Hmmm, interesting concept. Will give me extra incentive to loose weight (started going to the gym last month). :-) I'm around 130KG (285 pound) , but will have to double check. EDIT: I also think it would be a little more fair to judge as a % of weight lost, rather than just a total number of pounds/kg.
SMOKOZUNA Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 I'll play. I've been contemplating losing weight for the past few years now.:-D My wife is pissed that it takes a contest like this to make me wanna lose weight!!!
FuzzyJoe Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Tell her that if she had bribed you with cigars and lovin' years ago, you'd be stick thin
Tampa1257 Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 » Let me know if there are any starters Rob, I need to drop a few pounds and there is no better motivation that I can think of than a Box Of Cohiba Robustos, well maybe I can think of ONE better motivation, but I don't think Rob will send a sexy Brunet to me if I win!:crying: I need to drop some serious weight, maybe 50*80 pounds, as of last week, I weighted in at 299, and I would love to be back to my lean, mean fighting & lovin machine weight. Count me in!!!:-D Tampa
ALB Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Mate just give the winner the company of the 2 waitresses at the state Origin do. Besides as the original FB said : " I'm no' fat I'm just DEAD SEXY ":-D Isn't it times like these we can rejoice in being blokes?
El Presidente Posted May 31, 2005 Author Posted May 31, 2005 All suggestions taken into account. % of bodyweight seems appropriate. Will list new thread June 5 but all expressions of interest to be listed below. ...just trying to make the world a healthier place :-P
1f1fan Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Great idea Rob. I'm in the 200-225 range and really would like to get back down to my pre-marrige, tail chasing weight of 195...and I've only been married just over a year.....:-|
bgoodz Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 I love the thread title, it's like the terms of endearment the guys have for each other at work. A couple of the bigger boyz actually refer to each other with the title name but it always starts with "Hey You ......" There's so much LUV there it's unbelievable, but a humorus place with all the guys and not worrying about somone claiming harrasment. Great title Prez
tmos Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I'm in. If I wind up weighing less than my wife I'm leaving her before she starts beating on me.
n2advnture Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 At one time I weighed 220 and through diet and excercise got down to 160 before bulking up to 190. After being married for 10yrs, I don't work out nearly as much as I should but I have managed to keep my weight around 170 for the past 8 years through diet only. If anyone wants some suggestions, I would be more than happy to offer up what I learned. It's really not that difficult, meaning you don't starve yourself or workout twice a day, everyday. my email is markneff AT adelphia.net if interested
bassdude Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 sounds like a good contest. currently at 255 an definitely need to cut back.
rumrogue Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 » Isn't it times like these we can rejoice in being blokes? Yeah......but keep a weather eye out for the Thought Police, mate.;-)
