Popular Post tywindsor44 Posted January 23, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 23, 2023 I don’t think I can say confidently that I tend to lend towards a specific ring gauge while shopping. Maybe my habits revolve around what’s left over in the wallet at the end of the month? What sounds tasty while I type of the email? Who knows. Now, I think we can all agree that when we open the humidors up, we always seem to want to grab that one you can’t stop thinking about. For me lately, it’s been a smaller gauge. Anything Lancero-ish?, something I can enjoy quickly with this cold weather. But… Today's review is of the righteous, creamy bomb that is the QD54. This is my favorite ring gauge. I unfortunately don’t have tons of pictures of my smoke but I have a great review. The cold draw. Something a lot of people seem to pass under appreciate! There is nothing like cutting a Cuban and drawing some fresh cool air to gather those flavors. - This was a smooth, soft and salted caramel praline draw. First third. A warm Carmel macchiato wrapped in the most gorgeous wrapper. Light smoke with a Carmel and hay blend. Second third. Still light but some very mild spice has arrived. Something similar to cinnamon but more on the light fluffy side that made me think of a graham cracker. Warm and cozy! Last third. “A deeper dive” into that rich bold tobacco flavor with a uptick in spices. It definitely ran a little more hot and lost some of that lightness I expressed in the first 2/3rds. Overall I rate this a 84/100. I may have rushed it due to the cold weather, but the road was calling for more work and less fun. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 6
Tunkat92 Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Thanks for the review! One of the sticks I still haven’t tried yet. Always end up getting the 50s 1
tywindsor44 Posted January 23, 2023 Author Posted January 23, 2023 Highly recommend the 54! You wouldn’t think it to be much different, but it is!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
