Popular Post Chas.Alpha Posted January 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 2, 2023 My Christmas night cigar. A fine meal (Turkey breast, ham and canned green beans and stuffing) 😆 Debbie and I are pretty low key on the holidays. This is a gentleman's cigar, which some of you could rightly ask why I would be smoking such a fine thing. That is a question that I can only answer by saying that it was one of the very few times in the past couple of years that I didn't get the rejection letter from @WarriorPrincess "Sorry, all boxes have been sold..." 😔 Stately. Best word I've got. Cocoa/toffee/coffee and roasted almonds. A touch of leather, but that might be because I'm relegated to the garage for smoking and there is still plenty of things from the move that haven't been wiped down. Construction is perfect! Dark, oily wrapper. Medium over flavor, medium body. A rube like me has no business smoking such an elegant cigar. These should be saved for good friends and the off-chance that Royalty stops by for a drink... I don't find that these build much from the 1st half to the second, save for maybe a bump in body/flavor as would be expected. A bit of baking spice and a touch of cinnamon on the last quarter appeared, which always makes me happy. 92 and I have relegated the other box that I have to the "Only 2 per Year" side of my humidor... 18 1
GoodStix Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Agreed, great cigar. Â Just my tastes, but perhaps consider enjoying the box over 5 or so years (rather than only 2 per yr), as what makes them delicious fades. Thanks for your review. 2
