[Cigar-Therapy]

FoH's #1 cigar of the year last year - I try to save mine for special occasions.  It has been extremely cold here in the south the last week, so when my son wanted to go outside to play with some of his Christmas toys.  I thought what better time to enjoy one.

It was will chilly and dry out - so I grabbed one out of the box of 25 I have and headed outside with an old fashioned.  I prefer flat whites with my Serie P No.2's but my son wasn't going to wait for me to make one.

Straight cut and the draw was non-existent.  So I took out the draw tool and started boring, I was able to improve air flow slightly, enough to smoke it.  On light up, I picked up notes of sweet spices/raisins and a touch of cream, which maintained throughout the smoking.  I'm used to thicker smoke from these cigars; the tight draw took away from the enjoyment, and I do not know if I compromised the wrapper or the cold/dry weather did it in, but it started cracking.  

It was still smokeable, and I still smoked it - but it made it very unpleasant.  As someone who takes pride in how I maintain my cigars - I feel disappointed in myself.

I smoked about 2/3 of the cigar before my son decided he was done messing around outside and wanted to go back inside.  So I decided to call it quits-

Rating: 81/100 - The tight draw took away from the rating a lot, I've had 94+ from this box and look forward to the rest being better.
