JohnS Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Around a week ago a highly respected member of our forum post messaged me asking about the current process of bringing Non-Cuban cigars into Hong Kong, where he resides. As an Australian, I must admit I was blindsided by this because we have have an independent body called the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) whose aim is to protect competition in our country. For this reason, in Australia, accessing both Habanos and Non-Cuban cigars is not a problem. As per Cuban Cigar Website, in 2020 Allied Cigar bought into Habanos S.A. It wouldn't surprise me that non Habanos cigars have been excluded from been purchased in Hong Kong or China. If you are a member in Hong Kong or China, is this indeed the case? I open the forum to replies on account of the current supply problems and price increases In Habanos cigars has meant that a great number of our members have had to supplement their cigar smoking hobby with the acquisition of Non-Cuban cigars, myself included. I mean, at the very least, are we not all grateful for the Nudies program? Let us know what you think... 1
