Popular Post pohlmad Posted October 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 8, 2022 My first time smoking one of these. It’s a perfect cigar size to hang with the boys at the lounge with nowhere to be. It’s over 6 inches and ring over 50. Cold draw reveals a loose draw but not too loose. The first couple draws upon lighting gave a very smooth, light, and cool smoke. After smoking the Hidalgo, this was very welcome. No edge to this smoke and not as “heavy” a smoke as the Hidalgo. The first 1/3 continued with perfect draw and a completely enjoyable smoking experience. I’m not great with flavor profiles but I kept being reminded of a floral note to it. The second 1/3 continued to be a wonderful experience. Still no edge, perfect burn, and I’m in cigar heaven. My brain is empty, my heart is full, and I’m fully relaxed. More of the same in the final 1/3. Smoked it to the nub, without any heat or harsh flavors. Perfect experience for the situation. Overall, there have been many times where I’ve been disappointed with EL cigars but I’m happy to say this one was deserving of the title! Another great experience! Thanks FOH!! 9 1
Fugu Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Very well done, thanks for your review! Good to see these going in a direction to my cautious prediction on release (when they weren’t too well received). Haven’t had one in quite some time, but I see potential in these to coming close to the Hermosos No.1 EL of 2003. A good blend for longer-term maturing, in my book. As you say, they certainly have some floral aspect to them. 1
