Popular Post hrs1 Posted September 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2022 I love Epi 2s with lighter colored wrappers. To my palette, the sweet clove, cinnamon and cedar notes pop. They're creamier and more floral. They're simply tasty. I was pumped when I received this 50 cab. Light wrappers. Sweet aroma. I dipped into it a couple weeks ago and the first smoke was a 93 pointer. Very promising. It's a very Hoyo weekend, so I decide kick it off with another sample from this cab. The cold draw is perfect with some sweetness coming through. I think I'm in for something good. Light it up. The sweet spice and cream are there on the edges. But, the finish is a bit dry. It's woody, but not cedary. It's great on the draw, but finishes like dry pencil shavings. The body and flavor are both medium light 😕 Into the second third and it's improving. The dryness is gone. The woodiness is cedary. The pencil shavings are basically gone. The cream is ramping up. Cinnamon and cloves are hanging around the edges. Burn is perfect with opulent smoke output. The flavor is up a tick to medium Final third and she's firing on all cylinders. Sweet cream, cloves, cinnamon and cedar in perfect balance. It's medium bodied. This is what I was looking for 🥳 Overall, the strong close offset the shaky start. A 90 point, hour long smoke. Now time to agonize over whether to smoke from this cab now or let it age 😅 10 1
