Popular Post saltbox
Kept the Montecristo theme going over the weekend. My wife ended up trying one of the Montecristo No. 5 from my other review as well while I smoked this one. First third: cocoa, cream, baking spices. Leathery tobacco on the retrohale. The draw started off overly tight but slowly loosened up and as it does, creamy chocolate fudge and coffee cream come in. The spices also settle as the draw loosens up, probably because the amount of suction has decreased. Middle third: more of the same, which isn't a bad thing. The spices start to return towards the end, cinnamon and baking spices. Last third: the chocolate becomes a bit less intense, and the overall profile becomes a bit of a mix of chocolate, coffee, tobacco, and cinnamon. Overall: pretty good, probably one of my better experiences with the thinner ring gauge Montecristo vitolas. Still not as good as the typical No. 2, but I do have to wonder if it's just because I have an amazing box. 89/100
