Popular Post JustDave
Cigar came from a friend and decided to smoke it instead of the ones I've gotten from 24:24 given I'm pretty sure he picked this up pre-covid given he said he had just spent the pandemic smoking his back stock. My choice of beverage is actually heavily watered down pink lemonade. I'm on some meds for a wonky back and can't have any alcohol so this is the best I've got. Probably like 4:1 water to lemonade as the mix. Still sweet and a bit sour, but this stuff is so strong straight it'll make your mouth pucker and dizzy from the sugar. I've had this particular cigar before, but it's one I particularly enjoy. 70 seconds per puff. Cold draw is graham crackers and some mild sweetness. 1st third is nice, easy, more graham crackers and some light sweetness. A bit of mild pepper in my mouth, but nothing astringent. Smells a bit like a really nice smelling firepit. The cigar has some uneven burn on the wrapper down one side. Will keep an eye on it and see if needs a touch up. Also, the draw is a bit tight. Not overly so, but I can feel it in the cheeks. 2nd third, really opens up and smooths out the burn. A lot of the same flavors. I can't say the cigar really evolves just stays the same nice pleasant flavor. Getting a lot of toasted graham crackers off this thing. Feels like I'm at a fire pit making smores and someone dropped a graham cracker into the fire. It'd probably be sweeter if I wasn't drinking a sweet drink, but it's hot and humid here on the porch and I wanted something refreshing. Smoked it down to the band, was very nice. Burn issue evened out, draw issue was fine, no issue staying lit. All in all, a very nice cigar. I think if I had to give a cuban to someone who'd had cigars before but never a cuban this would probably be where I'd start. Easy and nice(how many times can you say nice in a review?). 7
