Popular Post BuzzArd Posted July 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 24, 2022 Been a long time since i’ve reviewed anything let alone smoked anything of this size. Summer in Arizona can really take the wind out of your sails and hiding indoors is the escape. But after a half day at the machine shop I found my way home to a fairly mild evening with temps only hovering around 102°F. I have about 10 of these DAs remaining and it seemed a perfect evening for one. They now reside as a top layer of a half box of Boli GC. Upon lighting there was an immediate note of roasted cashews(?) mixed with a fair bit of cedar and slight espresso note. Quite honestly this was the backbone for the entire 3 hour smoke with some unsweetened graham cracker entering about the half. An excellent and mild cigar without a lot of changes to it, but when the cigar is this good one certainly doesn’t mind. Smokin’ Cat Approved of my final score of 93 although she herself marked her final score as “indifferent”. Typical cat… 23
El Presidente Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 I have handed out a few 2012 VRDA over the past three months and smoked half a dozen myself. They have been exquisite. Nuts, espresso, marzipan for me. I haven't had anything less than a 93 from that box to date and a couple of 96'ers. Nice work Jim 3

Not that I need more cigars, but this was excellent. Glad to know my review wasn’t off the mark. 1
