Popular Post Ford2112 Posted July 3, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 3, 2022 Cohiba is a marque that I do really like, but at the current prices will likely not go much deeper on them. This particular box has a great smell of hay and a bit of sweet barnyard to it. Nice looking wrappers. I have had them in my hunidor for around 3 months. The last one I smoked was harsh in the second and final third and I feel like they need time down ,but word around the water cooler has been 2021 stock is approachable young. Here goes. 1st third starts off with the classic grass and hay with a touch of sweetness to it. Tasty. Mild to medium with good smoke output. After an inch the trouble starts. The ambient humidity outside has been 70% ish. I keep my cigars at 68/65-66. I try to keep things as stable as I can. This cigar started cracking and borderline wanted to blow up on me! I dug out the perfec repair cigar glue and saved it,I think... 2nd third the wrapper is split and really funky looking but the cigar has a good ash, flavor seems unimpeded. Getting more hay and sweetness. No citrus flavors but this sweet creamy grassiness. The glue has done its job. I smoke it at a decent pace, puffing every minute or so. Retrohale has a bit of white pepper to it,youth? Very good so far. Final third. The cigar rights itself. Good deal. I had a couple touch ups and a relight. Still a bit wet I think. I dry boxed a couple days but this box will be left to do its thing for a while. These are showing good promise and this last third is smoking well, some intensity now but still smooth and creamy . Had this cigar not had the construction/ whatever issues I would have rated it a solid 92 with plenty of upside potential with some age. As it stands, I rate it an 89. 12
JustDave Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Good review. Somewhat daunting for something so expensive to get a somewhat dodgy review, but glad it recovered for you. 1

ha_banos Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 These need 3-5 down - at least. I've a 20 box so might just try one. But I fully expect to regret it. The aroma is sort of indicating that... Grassy, a little sharp. The splitting, I almost had that recently with an Edmundo kept at no more than 67. It was firm with a form Cuban draw. It can be a bit pot luck. If your other cigars are ok, this should have been too. So perhaps a little overfilled. They probably err on this side of caution with Cohiba. Cheers for the review. Some say.... If you wrap a 50 bill around the old priced ones ... You get a better experience... 2
