Popular Post BeerPimp Posted June 27, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 27, 2022 It has been a while since I have done a review. When I saw it was Pyramid/Torpedo I knew I had to do one. When I started I smoked NC cigars and one of my favorite cigars was a Onyx pyramid. I forget the number (they used to use 3 digit numbers for their cigars before rebranding to names). I finally got into CC's when my friend badgered me into ordering some. My first order was from our esteemed host and included a box of Monte No. 2's which are long gone. They became one of my favorite CC to smoke. However, lately I have not smoked one in a while mainly because I don't make time to smoke one. I paired this Monte No. 2 with an espresso milk stout. Later in the smoke I also paired it with Buffalo Trace bourbon. I clipped the end and it was the perfect draw just the right amount of resistance. I got notes of sweet tobacco. First Third. Like most cigars after the initial light I get vegetal. Once it got going I got notes of light wood, coffee, and cocoa. Second third it starts to really get going and I get coffee and milk chocolate. Final third similar notes but with coffee and cocoa. I was surprised how even towards the end it didn't get strong. Not until I almost burnt my fingers did it get strong. This cigar reminded me to definitely make time for some longer smoking cigars. It burned so well all the way to the end. I was surprised that it never went out even after a couple of times of setting it down for a bit. I am going to give this cigar a 98. 10
