Love a good Monte 2. These have been good. I like em young . This one probably should have been dry boxed ,but I grabbed it on a whim this morning. PSP box from FOH.

Construction looked good. Cigar was firm but not overfilled. Draw was how I like, just enough resistance.  Dry puffs yielded sweet tobacco flavors.

1st third opened up with a nice toasted tobacco, creamy cocoa and coffee. A bit of spice. Delicious! The wrapper was a touch flame retardant and I had to touch it up throughout my drive this morning listening to the ballgame. No big deal ( the Giants losing 10-3 was a big deal).

2nd third. Lots of touch ups. Not sure if dry boxing would have helped but it couldn't hurt as my humidor is reading 66%. Oh well. I do like my smokes lower 60s in humidity.  Flavors a bit richer now. I'm really enjoying this smoke! Other than the minor burn issues , it's a perfect Monte. Classic flavors of creamy chocolate and spice with some bread notes. Leather. Great mouth feel with lots of smoke.

Final third.  Made it past the band and it went out as I was looking at a house to paint for a family member. Flavors were spot on ,with a bit of mongrel on the last 10 or so puffs. I like mongrel anyway ,but it got a bit hot and harsh at the end.

90 points. Had it burned better I would have scored it a 92.

Good looking stick :ok:

I have enjoyed almost every 21 Monte 2 that I have smoked.

Same here Rob. I only had 1 cigar out of this 10 ct box that wasn't up to par and was a bit plugged. The rest have been superb!
