Popular Post Akela3rd Posted April 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 23, 2022 I've been looking forward to these arriving as they're a recent favourite so the ROTTRW is well timed and a good excuse. In from work, perfunctory wash & scrub up, out with a cigar in my still slightly grubby hand. Nice. Love the presentation, classy without being ostentatious, beautiful look and construction, slight sheen and strong barnyard smell on the foot. On lighting I'm surprised as to how mild it feels. Plenty of flavour - nuts, dried berries, meadow - but not with the oomph I was expecting. Absolutely lovely. Burn's a little wonky but I'll put that down to driver error and through the course of the cigar it corrects without help. Smooth into the second third with a lovely mouth feel of creamy smoke. The nut note clarifies into pistachio. As I get into the final third the dried fruit reappears subtly almost like an infusion, nice effect. I was expecting the grassy note from the opening to emerge as bitterness later but it hasn't, it's noticeable but still reminds me of a flower meadow somehow, nectar and the promise of honey once the bees get busy. Fantastic cigar, solid 9/10. So glad I was prompted to ROTT it, not sure if I can hold off on the rest now... Sent by spooky action at a distance 11
