SCgarman Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Russia is one of only three countries that make vacuum tubes for guitar amplifiers. Now you only have China and Slovakia due to the obvious. Worldwide vacuum tube shortage now. Added to the list of other things. 2

One of the major factories in China had a fire last year sometime and was offline for months. I'm not sure they're even back online yet tbh. On the positive side an american manufacturer has announced plans to start manufacturing tubes used in guitar amps, but it appears like tubes are gonna be in short supply for the next while. I suppose this is just the way of the world now, all the things I like are in short supply 😂
