Between Super Bowl Sunday and the end of my birthday weekend (same date as @El Presidente), I figured I'd smoke something nice. I was able to trade for the Bushido here on the forum and today was the day to smoke it. The cigar had a small wrapper tear at the foot but otherwise looked impeccable. It's a lot longer than I usually smoke but the weather was sunny and 60, plus I had the time. Construction was very good: great draw, voluminous smoke and an ash that held. I was able to light the cigar with matches, which was the first time I've actually succeeded doing it. The initial draws brought out a sweet tobacco note that transitioned to very floral and hay flavors. The retrohale was of wasabi or at least the sensation wasabi leaves on my nose. Not much changed in the second third and in the last third there was a more bitter vegetal note with a little saltiness that reminded me of Trinidads. For as long as the cigar was I expected more transitions but at the end of the cigar I thoroughly enjoyed it as it was not a bad way to end the weekend.

this cigar was one of my best for the last 5 years. only had one but I got a few more stone fruit in there, just a hint to tip it over from what you'd expect from old school Diplo to next level. great balance. Maybe they had a window but, hey, it's a Cuban, and I got lucky. once again, only tried one. hope you had a great day. Just starting to ramp up to the heat of the day here at 3pm while the US sleeps. Happy Monday. Hopefully not too many hangovers that can't be solved by either hair of the dog or several gatorades and a hamburger. Ha ha! Cheers
