Popular Post Mhansen85 Posted February 10, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 10, 2022 Cuaba Distinguidos – 2017 Got a single of this to try from my LCDH. This will be my first Cuaba, primarily because they are not very available and nobody really seems to like them enough to seek them out. I understand the Distinguidos are the ones most often highlighted as the star of their regular production Very well constructed cigar. Lightup brings mostly toasted Tobacco, chewy smoke output, almonds, cashews and peanutbutter. I am pairing it with a 12 year old cream sherry 1/3 brings the same flavor along with some creamy cedar. It is well balanced, but not very interesting at this point. Body is light. Retro brings a slight spice kick with pepper 2/3. body increases to below medium. The sherry is a good match, the nuts interconnect in a nice way that enhances both. Taste improves with some more intensity and more creamy oak, with a bit of cloves. Toasted Tobacco is still a main flavor component. 3/3 earthy forestfloor and the same nutty flavors. A sweet leathery note comes into play. Body remains under medium. Seemless and very smooth. Towards the close it is pure Tobacco flavor Conclusion. Very good Construction. A good cigar, but not very interesting for my palette. 87 points 6
david9985 Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Nice review 👍 I've only had one of these and I was very impressed. Tasting notes similar to yours at initial light up, I.e. chewy, almond, cashew, peanut. It never got peppery or bitter, just stronger as time went on. Keep meaning to buy a box! 2

I watched the FOH review and yeah it seems they liked it more. Mine had similar great construction. Especially towards the finish though, it was just pure tobacco flavor with a slight nutty aspect, for me. I feel so many Cubans are hitting my sweet spot that i will probably not seek these out more, but it was fun to try and expand the journey. 2
