Popular Post saltbox
Recently grabbed a clearance 50 cab, so pulled another one from an older box to, again, compare soon. I've only had one from this box so far, with about 3 months of rest, so now that they're up to nearly a year, it's time to revisit. First third: opens straight up into a beautiful vanilla cream, baking spices, and cedar. Cloves soon join the mix. Middle third: cream, vanilla, and cloves. The vanilla has been slowly fading out since the first third and takes a backseat to the straight creaminess of the cigar. Last third: the vanilla has all but vanished by this point. Still a delightful creaminess, though that fades too towards the very end leaving cedar to dominate the profile as the burn starts to struggle. Overall: much improved over the first from the box, which I had rated an 85. I'm still a sucker for the different spice profile of the Rio Seco, but these Epi 2's are improving with time and may start pulling me away from the Rio Seco's if they continue on this trajectory. 90/100
