Popular Post cigaraholic Posted December 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 19, 2021 I grew up with a persimmon tree in the backyard, for the holidays my mother would make persimmon pudding for us and friends. At some point years ago I took over the holiday baking. Have a batch in the oven, the house smells like Christmas, time for a holiday cigar! Wanted something a little special so I picked this dodo stick. It has a perfect QdO graham cracker shade wrapper and is nicely filled at 10g. Draw is perfect, just a little sad I have so few of these left, I love the size. Opening puffs are graham cracker and sugar, then baking spices and fruitcake. A quarter inch in and I’m already licking my lips. The house smells like fruitcake and I’m smoking fruitcake, couldn’t have picked a more perfect cigar for this moment. It’s right at medium body, blindfolded I would guess I was smoking a great Ramón Allones. Further in some dark chocolate and a mouth coating buttery richness. This is one hell of a cigar. If this was the first cigar you ever smoked you’d be hooked for life....like me👻 The body stays at medium but it just keeps getting richer, it’s buttery fruitcake toffee now. So smooth I can retrohale every puff and the finish goes on for days. An absolutely decadent hour and 35 minutes with zero calories except for a little cognac I had with it. If I was scoring this cigar I’d have to take a point off for letting me light it before the cakes had cooled and one for not being 3 inches longer. Happy Holidays 18 1
