Meesterjojo Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Looking for thoughts on what best to do with my raching mon3800 if we have a 5 day power outage this winter as we did in February. This will be my first winter with this humidor. With my smaller audews they're fine as they're humidified by boveda packs. Should I prepare bovedas snd toss them in as soon as the power goes out? Or transfer everything to smaller tupperdores? Alternatively, I'm considering a generator, but gas will run out again, noise, and I'd need to leave a gap in a window for the cable, nevermind the heating element running nonstop to keep the humidor warm from that...
Fuzz Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 Do you really need to keep the humidor warm for that short amount of time? A bit of cold won't hurt the cigars.
