Popular Post saltbox Posted October 18, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 18, 2021 Second stick from the box from this topic: This is one that I had applied some patches to half a year ago and let rest, to see if applying the wrapping paper patches ahead of time and allowing the cigar to rest vs. applying the patches immediately before smoking made a difference. Didn't break the cigar down into thirds because the cigar was extremely and unbelievably consistent throughout the smoke. This cigar unfortunately paled in comparison to the previous one from this box and other Lusitanias I've had, as the flavor profile was overwhelmingly driven by cedar, with light touches of cream and Partagas spices but not enough to make this more than a mediocre smoke. Construction and burn-wise, the cigar performed okay, but actually seemed to have a bit more trouble keeping an even burn than when I applied the wrapping paper patches the last time immediately before smoking. Not a very scientific experiment here, but I'll probably stick to doing the repair jobs right before smoking from now on. 83/100 7 1
cnov Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Interesting threads. It's hard to be scientific when the subjects are so inconsistent, but you've no doubt saved many cigars from an early demise with your ingenuity.
