Partagas Salomones TUA DIC 19 (JBWP5RW)

I got this box in Cuba before the pandemic and decided to check in on them. The first one I had was very good but particularly strong.

I think I lucked out with this box as the construction on feel to all of them is on point. My first one burned very well.

 

Paired with WT101.

Straight cut.

Draw was excellent.

 

1st: starts out full, spice, dark coffee with a touch of oak. Burn and draw is perfect.

 

2nd: becomes a little more balanced, medium-full body and strength with a nice sweet spice and nutty note coming in. Perhaps almond. This was the best third of the cigar and was much smoother than my first sample of this box a year ago.

 

3rd: partagas spice, coffee, nut. Finished to the nub with zero touch ups.

 

Rated: 93.

This cigar was a treat and excited to have 8 left.
