Montecristo No 2 - UBM OCT 19 (AARW)

This is my first time enjoying a Montecristo No 2. I was celebrating my first week at my new job. Even if my new employer put the incorrect first name into the company system, and security put another incorrect first name into their system. So I was called Mark and/or Joseph the first 3 days into my new job. Neither of those names being my first name. But I digress. It was a beautiful evening/night. One of the best ones yet. I live in a residential neighborhood, where I do not have a deck/patio in my backyard, so I intend to enjoy cigars and drinks in my driveway and watch the local traffic and people as they pass by.

I lit my cigar and began to take the initial puffs. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed my neighbors from across the street looking at me through their large bay window. It started out as one of the adult kids just looking out a window (no harm there). As I continued to enjoy my Monte more and more members of the neighbors house began to approach the window and look out at me. As though I was performing a show, and was their Saturday night entertainment. Like a family activity or something. Maybe they were looking at the sky, stars, or moon. No. Their heads were fixated towards me. I was their show this evening.

Halfway through my smoke, I peered towards them just as the ash fell from the cigar and onto my arm. I jumped out of my 70s lawn chair and started to brush off my arm like some sort of psycho dancing. Channeling my inner Elaine Benes from Seinfeld. I immediately glanced towards the window just in time to see them disperse. Slightly embarrassed and burnt I finished the rest of my cigar and called it a night.

Review:

1/2: Lite tones such as sweet spices, nutmeg, hint of cinnamon, bread, caramel, cocoa.

2/2: More bite and tones increasing to medium, wood, slight earthiness, molasses.
