Popular Post Ryan Posted May 21, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 21, 2021 Norma Fernandez died this week, after contracting Covid. She was one of the first rollers in El Laguito, starting there in 1967, and one of the first female rollers in Cuba, or anywhere. In 2006 she rolled all 4,000 cigars of the original Behike release. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2006/oct/23/cuba.rorycarroll I didn't know her. Over the years I spent maybe 15 minutes with her, but she was always very nice, welcoming and patient. With me at least. I know some friends of hers quite well and they always spoke very highly of her. 7 6
Mr. Japan Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 I heard about her departure last night. terrible that she could not fight back the Covid. RIP MAsetra.
Popular Post Nino Posted May 21, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 21, 2021 Very sad to read of her passing, she was a lovely lady, very friendly and approachable, good fun and very professional. I met her several times, starting in 2009 when she hosted a private tasting for my good friends Mr Portmann and Jimmy Ng at El Laguito. She will be missed - may she rest in peace. 10 5
