Scubasteve20 Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 I let my wife pick me a PC for my final VVRW#2 smoke, this was it, which I was actually leaning towards anyway. Second one from this box, first was ROTT a few weeks ago and showed signs of greatness but they obviously needed more rest. Well, they need more rest still but smoked much better now. I was able to thoroughly enjoy this one compared to the last. Pre: a little barnyard and some sweet spice. Not very strong on the on the aroma or cold draw. pleasant. 1/3: Cedar, tea, touch of oak, warm baking spice, Honey appears occasionally. 2/3: Spiced rum & yellow cake, adding on to the cedar/oak. A savory quality is there, can't quite place it, Tarragon? It is as strong as I expected it to be, Med/full body and strength. 3/3: Now a little difficult to keep lit, could be our stupid Florida humidity. When I'm careful I can keep it smoking well and producing an entertaining combination of all the flavors listed above. I'll pair this with a good rum next time. I'd guess it'd be equally good with a strong coffee. There are layers of flavor throughout which make it more complex than most PCs I go for. I find myself loving the young Bolivar taste, in any format. This lasted just shy of an hour, smoking diligently. 91/100 with upward mobility. Will continue to sample as they get comfortable. I have a couple Libertadors on the way that I can't wait to try during the presentation of the (sneak peek, posting soon) cabinet humidor project in pic #4. 4
smbauerllc Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Nice review. I have become a big Bolivar fan fairly recently. Love the BBF especially, but also always have some BRCs and pcs on hand too. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
