The below is a really good article for those into online poker.

It is a decent read so pour yourself a drink and light a cigar ;)

We played a small part in this. Our client was the payment gateway kingpin for the US online poker companies processing all US player CC's offshore and moving money around the world. He would keep a decent processing fee. He was found to be scimming a touch too much. Arrestied in Las Vegas (on his way to Cuba), he rolled over on all US poker platforms. He received 7 years from memory, out in 4.

Fascinating time!

That is a fascinating read. So true about the morality or lack thereof regarding the financial markets. And no matter how regulated they get, it’s still a win or lose game being played trying to get one over on the “suckers”. Try to make investment decisions on “sound” financial analysis instead of momentum and trend analysis and you’ll have a tough time winning.  The big boys control the markets and they rise and fall based almost solely on their moves.

Nice read, thanks for this Rob. Really brought me back to many a sleepless online poker night in 2004-2005.

While a completely different read, I think folks who enjoyed this might also appreciate the story of Dread Pirate Robert’s of Silk Road fame. Ross Ulbricht was another early internet era purveyor of the same kind of momentum the author touches on.
