Punch 48 RAT NOV19 (L&SRW2)

Was letting these rest a bit.  Got 2 boxes, one was light and other was very dark.  Happened to grab the light box. The look and feel of this was like sandpaper when I took out a stick.  First from the box.  Very dry and brittle but nice aroma of peanuts, hay & tobacco.  I thought this was going to burn fast. But surprisingly the burn was razor sharp ash held almost for the 1st third and it was not dry as I thought.  tasting peanut and stay with coffee and chocolate floating in and out.  2nd third was more of the same maybe with coffee upping a bit.  Ash continued to hold and burn was slow.  3rd more of tobacco and coffee, hay was still there and peanut in background.  Was very surprised that this lasted 90 min. With how dry it was never thought it would be tasty as well.  89-90.  cant wait to try the other darker box.

Lighter shade wrappers on these are good, but darker shade wrappers on these are great! I’ve smoked many boxes of Punch 48, and I’ve had some with the darker wrappers that were very, very good cigars. Punch 48 is kind of an underrated cigar. One of my favs. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the note.  Think will wait till it gets warmer before I try the darker wrapper.
