Fosgate Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Cohiba Black Churchill - 2020 (L&SRW2)* She’s not Cuban but she holds a special place in my heart as my first love of cigars. Back in the day when we would just grab cigar samplers for the quantity instead of quality I decided one day at the local B&M to try a Cohiba Black Supremo. I immediately fell in love with cigars and started looking for quality more. It’s been awhile since I have had one but she’s always solid whenever I return for a visit. Cohiba Black Churchill 49rgx7in Medium-Med Full flavor Pairing-Old Fashion Cut: Vcut Appearance- I’ve had some that look a little brown but this one is black, Flat black. Wrapper is smooth with a nice uniform construction. Nice light draw as I light up. 1st third: She’s as complex as I remember. Gorgeous wispy white smoke with a nice tight white ash begins to form. Burn is even. Flavor: Espresso, chocolate, nougat, little bit of spice and a slight earth to it. Thick rich and Delicious 2nd third: Very much the same as the first with the nougat a little stronger. Every time I sip my old fashion it’s like chocolate covered cherries. Final third: Maintains well on par with the 2nd third right up to the final 1 ½ inch of the cigar and I set it down as I feel the heat and afraid that if I continue she’ll turn on me. I rushed that final third a bit much. Overall: I used to also smoke CAO Brazilla as it was a very similar tasting cigar but the Brazilla is just missing that little extra something that makes me enjoy the Cohiba black more. I miss this cigar and I’m tempted to scoop up a box. My wife will kill me if I bring home and old girlfriend though. For now I’ll just have pick one up now and this at my local lounge. 2
