Popular Post RDB Posted March 5, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2021 I’m a huge fan of Partagas, especially Lusis, E2s and Shorts, but I’ve only had a few P2s. This is my first from a new 10ct FoH box: nice rich aroma at cold, colorado wrappers, all looking good. First impression is of a cigar that sits between the smooth elegance of a Lusi or an E2, and the gnarly character of a Short or punchy D4. Middleweight. Definitely salty. A vegetal, perhaps tomatoey acidic sweetness. Very twangy and certainly easy to smoke. Touches of the classic Partagas dark coffee and sourdough toast but an element rather than dominant. There’s a sort of cuicina Italia feel to it all. Would be great with pizza and light red wine. Young, but not showing any noticeable harshness or bitterness. Perhaps a bit muddled in a way that age will help. Great construction and burn: clouds of thick flavourful smoke. Score: 1 on the binary scale, but I’ll leave the rest another year before trying again. 8
