Hoyo de Monterrey le Hoyo du Depute TOU SEP 19 (L&SRW1)

This is one of my go to short smokes, along with the Perlas and Minutos. Usually cedar and spice/cloves as typical flavours for me.

Picked a slightly bent cigar but it had nice weight and bunching.

Weight came in just over official weight, but still on the lighter side.

9mm punch and draw is good.

First third: Cedar and spice (mainly cloves).

Second third: Cream and wood, then cream and citrus.

Final third: Mainly wood with some spice but less cloves.

Weather was 1.5C, 35F. Low 90s humidity, which affected the burn and needed some touch ups. Was a bit windy too, but not too bad.

The cigar was pleasantly a bit more complex than they typically are. 4/5 to 4.5/5.

40 minute smoke time.
