Popular Post havanaclub Posted February 14, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 14, 2021 Had this cigar picked out this weekend as I wanted check in to see how they are doing. Also wanted to pair it with a new 1792 Bottled in Bond bottle I just picked up. Just so happens Punch is the weekend review mashup!! My first few of these have been real crackers! This started out harsh with burnt tobacco/nuts notes. After about 5 mins I was really thinking about tossing it. Glad I didn’t as it smoothed out to a wonderful cigar. This sample seemed to be med-full compared to my previous samples which weren’t as full bodied. Started out with roasted nuts, dark coffee. I didn’t get the slightly sweet/fruity notes that I seem to get at times with punch. The final half moved to a woody/cedar, espresso, nutty blend which finished on the upper end of medium. The burn was decent, requiring a few touch ups but was perfect after the first half. Rated 91 (would have been a little higher if it weren’t for the first 3rd) Some rib steaks for Valentine Day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 11
