Popular Post justince Posted February 14, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 14, 2021 Just got a box of these in, figured I'd try them young. Quite glad I did. Pre-light draw was a little snug, but I chalked that up to the mini figurado vitola. Got it lit, and at first I was a bit surprised. Mild-medium, but I figured that was due to the small smoke output. Woody notes with a hint of spice. With the draw failing to improvea as the cigar burned through the initial foot, I decided to bust out the perfec-draw. Definitely a little concerning since the ring gauge by the mouth is probably in the 20's, but had to try. I've NEVER pulled out a wad of tobacco like this before, I was stunned. There was some still tightly in the head, but I left it as is since I didn't want to ruin it. Draw became perfect. This little guy was pushing medium-full now. Flavor wise, this stick really embodied the cuban "twang" flavor for me, that slightly acidic woody note was all over the palate, with a hint of spice on the end. Despite the young age, the cigar had a musty-aged tobacco taste, which I was quite pleased with. Into the second third and the spice began to fade & a hint of sweetness developed. But this didn't last for very long; a few draws at most before the spice came back. Carried this profile throughout the end. Overall a phenomenal small smoke, minus the the draw issues. Definitely reccomend it if you have a perfec-draw. I can see how this vitola could consistently cause draw issues. Even the girlfriend enjoyed this one. Lucky to have someone who tolerates my habits ? 13
