COHIBA ROBUSTOS SUPREMOS (EL 2014) Review

This cigar touches my heart today. Like my friend always said, a Cohiba is a Cohiba.

I think it is meaningful for me to write a sample review of this beautiful cigar.

Friday night, I have worked hard (or not) for another shit week, I dragged my tired body into the bar. I lighted up the cigar, first buff, my world became vivid and sparkling.

 

First 1/2

Elegant, the first word came to me. It was mild in the first place, but you can taste so much.

It was delicate and sweet. The flavors did not change much. I call it elegantly sweet, not like sugar punch, not like honey sweet, it is more like light caramel sweet, and a little bit sea salt mixed together. The sweetness did not touch your tip of the tongue, but instead it spread from two sides of your tongue and covers your whole mouth.

The smoke was not rich, I had to puff hard to get enough. But the smoke was dense and full of layers.

A little bit hint of cedar.

 

1/2 to 2/3

The sweetness reduced a bit, and here came dark coffee note and a little bit white pepper, not strong, not spicy. Only the aromas of white pepper.

 

Last 1/3

The smoke became quite rich.

The black pepper developed. This part cannot compare with first 1/2, but you still could go with it. The sweetness remained in my mouth.

 

It took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to enjoy this cigar.
