Popular Post Chucko8 Posted February 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 4, 2021 Received this stick from a word of the week prize sometime back, so box code is unknown to me. This is the first time trying this vitola so was happy for the chance to experiment and enjoy the sunset and pre-dinner drink. The colorado wrapper has a nice red hue to it, with a light oil sheen. Cigar feels relatively well packed with just a touch of sponge on the squeeze. Straight cut of the cap and the cold draw gives me a easy draw with a sweet cedar and hay flavours. First 3rd: Cedar, light cream, toasted nuts, coffee, syrup and white pepper notes on the rethrohale. Strength is under medium. Second 3rd: Flavours remain very similar though the coffee aspect has darkened and the pepper on the rethrohale has also picked up in spiciness. Strength at the medium mark toward the later part of this 3rd. Final 3rd: An earthy aspect comes in to combine with the earlier flavours. Starts getting a little hot which also gives the strength a bit of a push. This cigar to me remains fairly true to it's marca of upmann characteristics. Was an easy enough smoke and not to complex leading into dinner. I'd give it and 89. 15
