Popular Post Gamehawker
Well this is the first cigar review I have done in a long while. I have cut back on smoking and only smoke a cigar a couple of per month. I was roasting some coffee yesterday so I decided so smoke one of my Mr. Dependable cigars, a H. Upmann Connie 1 “USE NOV 11”. I used to have four boxes of the cigar in the same box code but sold two boxes off last Spring to pay some taxes to the IRS so I have 1 1/2 boxes left and a 2011 box of PLM MAY 11 left. I took a Pre-lit draw and it smelled like heaven, haha, a good caramel and woodsy and the draw was perfect. I lit this over 9 year aged cigar and the flavor continued with the first third to have some caramel chocolate woodsy taste and the draw was again perfect. The strength was medium. The second third developed into a more deeper caramel and slight chocolate and sort of nutty flavor and the strength continued to be medium. The cigar band easily slid off to smoke final third. The flovor changed to a darker caramel the chocolate was gone and a more woodsy flavor and the strength increased to a medium strong. I took my time a savored this lovely cigar and it lasted an hour and 20 minutes. I did not want it to end and I smoked it to the nub (sorry for the blurred picture). I now really regret selling those two other boxes. ? Even though this cigar was over 9 years aged I think my remains 2 1/2 2011s would still continue to age well for at least another 5 years. I would rate this cigar a 95 or 96. 12
BillClinton
Hi, sorry to resurrect this thread, but I just bought this same exact box and was searching for reviews. How has the strength held up 2 years down the road? Are they still as outstanding as this one was? Your thread has me very excited, this will be my first box of 1's.

I just smoked one of these incredible cigars from the same box last month and I swear they are even better now at over 11 years aged. The strength definitely has not decreased (I would say still medium strong) and the wonderful flavors have not diminished too and I think they are even better. I hope you enjoy your box of these amazing cigars.

Thanks for the response!
